Warminster's MP Andrew Murrison has been getting correspondence about the difficulty booking appointments at the Avenue Surgery. So on Friday he went along to discuss with the new practice manager Craig Adams.
The medic MP spent a bit of time outside in the queue for reception observing one of the complaints he has been getting before meeting Craig.
Andrew said;
"Most people seem happy with the clinical service they get - but there are plainly issues around booking slots and with the constrained premises as Warminster's population has grown.
"I was reassured that Craig and the partners have recognised the appointments issue and have a technical solution to fix it that'll go live shortly.
"I have written to the Integrated Care Board to request a meeting to discuss growing primary care provision in our area given the mounting pressures that it faces.
"We have more doctors, nurses and medical schools than ever before but clinical demands will continue to grow meaning we have to plan for the future, including locally."
