Second half of four year Great War Centenary begins

As the Prime Minister's Special Representative for the Centenary of the First World War, Andrew has welcomed two major pieces of work that will contribute to the UK's four year commemoration of the conflict.

Andrew spoke in support of the Education Secretary in the House yesterday, following her announcement of a new National Funding Formula  - a plan for a fairer settlement for schools that will advantage all the comprehensive schools used by his constituents and most of the primaries.

Andrew visited Minster School in Warminster this morning.

Following a school visit to Parliament last week Andrew was invited to visit. Andrew spoke to pupils from Year 6 about his role as an MP.

Yesterday, Andrew asked the Prime Minister for assurances that her Government will support community hospitals, like those in Warminster and Shaftesbury, in order to limit the issue of bed-blocking in major regional hospitals ahead of the winter season.
