Chicken meeting in Commons

This morning Andrew Murrison MP convened a meeting in his office in the House of Commons to discuss the proposed chicken factory at Sutton Veny near Warminster.

MP welcomes ministers’ endorsement of local planning process

Andrew Murrison has welcomed a letter sent to MPs by local government and housing ministers Greg  Clark and Brandon Lewis which underscore the importance of local plans. The letter says that councils that do not design one soon will have one written for them.

Brecon soldier deaths

Dr Andrew Murrison MP has expressed his very serious concerns following the Inquest verdict today into the deaths of three soldiers undergoing training in the Brecon Beacons in 2013.

The 30,000th Last Post

On Thursday I was privileged to be at the 30,000th sounding of the Last Post at the Menin Gate in Ypres, representing David Cameron. It was gloriously well done and a fitting tribute echoed from Canberra to London, Hillsborough, Cardiff and Edinburgh.

Frantic Friday

I was very glad to quit sweltering London for home on Thursday evening. Nightmare journey – resolved to take the train as usual next week.
