Andrew today marked a quarter of a century in Parliament.

The declaration of the result for the then Westbury constituency - it became South West Wiltshire after boundary changes in 2010 - was in the early hours of Friday 8 June 2001 after the General Election the previous day.

Andrew said;

"It's been an honour and a privilege to represent the area in which Jenny and I have raised our family. I look forward to continuing to serve Trowbridge, Westbury, Warminster, Mere and the surrounding villages - if the voters will have me, for another 25 years!"
