Since 2011, I have had the honour of serving as the Prime Minister's Special Representative for the Centenary of the Great War. The First World War was indeed the war to end all wars and it is important that the Second World War does not diminish our appreciation of the allied troops who gave up their lives to prevent another global conflict.
I have worked with many interesting people and organisations across the UK and abroad to raise awareness of the Great War and organise events and memorials for paying our respects to its victims.
